HOTEL
The Sheraton Washington Hotel, the AAFCS Headquarters, is located at 2660
Woodley Road, Washington, D.C. 20008, (202) 328-2000. The Sheraton
Washington is the city’s premier convention hotel. It is ideally located
near a Metro station and interesting restaurants. This site offers a
variety of interesting activities from museums, theaters and the arts to
sporting events–your launching point to experience the city with dazzling
monuments, lush green gardens, and international cuisine.
Hotel Reservations: 1-202-328-2000. Ask for the special American
Association of Family and Consumer Sciences (AAFCS) rate. Room rates per
night: Single $89; Double $99; Triple $109; Quad $119; and $30 additional
person. Rates are subject to an occupancy tax of 11% and $1.50 per room
night. These rates are guaranteed until May 21, 1997.
All events for the preconference will be held at the Sheraton Washington
Hotel, so staying at other hotels will be much less convenient than this hotel.
