This study examines the retirement
confidence survey to determine the factors that affect social security
dependency.  The use of Social Security
as a source or non source of retirement income was tested against several
independent variables to determine what factors significantly affect Social
Security as an income source.  Given the
uncertainty of the current social system, the intention of this study is to
determine those most likely to depend on Social Security as a major source of
income, so these individuals can be targeted with early preventative measures.
