  • What: This session will provide education about the psychological origins of stress and provide strategies to help manage it. Students will discuss their unique challenges that contribute to increased stress levels. Further, to help balance commitments and maximize efforts, the facilitator will suggest techniques to help students prioritize and manage their time

March 11, 2015-Going Global, Feeling Home: Creating Quality Relationships, A Practical Guide for Cross-Cultural Communication

  • What: This interactive session will provide an opportunity for students to explore cross-cultural interactions that often bring fun, rewarding, yet confusing moments.  Both domestic and international students are welcomed to join this program.  Participants will engage in activities and discussion to explore their own successes and challenges in building cross-cultural relationships.   Students will also learn helpful tips and tools to enhance their social experiences in this growing internationalized institution.

In collaboration with Fisher Citizenship Program, the annual Breaking Down Barriers event aims to a more cohesive Fisher community by allowing the opportunity to address common Chinese and American stereotypes. Gain a unique perspective on culture from both international Chinese students as well as domestic students. Have a rare opportunity to ask the cultural questions others are afraid to ask. Taste of OSU delivers international fare

International Affairs, student organizations and the Student Life Dining Services chefs are preparing an evening of international food, exhibits and cultural performances at Taste of OSU 2015 on Friday (2/13) from 5-9 p.m. at the Ohio Union. Admission is free and open to all who are interested in international cuisine and learning about different cultures. Tickets to purchase small samplings of international foods cost $1 each.
