To support the continuous scholarly examination of American democracy’s norms, procedures, and institutions Democracy Studies funds micro-grants to support research projects on a diverse range of subjects. Previously funded projects have included an examination of the role that interest groups play in the U.S. House of Representatives, the impact of nonpartisan elections on voter decision making, and the process of food coalition formation, among others.
