Democracy Studies focuses on nurturing the American people’s understanding of its own self-government. The Program is developing teaching initiatives within Ohio State to help students, community members, and practitioners better understand and improve different areas of American democracy
Democracy Studies is developing an election administration program in partnership with the John Glenn College of Public Affairs. The purpose of the program is to provide information and training to election administrators in Ohio, and potentially to election administrators across the nation.
Politics, Society and Law Scholars
The Ohio State University The Politics, Society and Law (PSL) Scholars program examines current issues from a legal or political perspective. Through the program, students explore the role such issues play in society and related careers including law, journalism, business, teaching, the sciences, the arts, or any other field of interest. The program hosts speakers and interactive simulations, and collaborates with other scholars groups and organizations around campus. National Security Simulation
Democracy Studies also sponsors interdisciplinary learning opportunities in partnership with other colleges and units at Ohio State, such as The Ohio State National Security Simulation, directed by Ohio State Moritz College of Law professor Dakota Rudesill.
