buying materials

I purchase books (including e-books), dvds, journals, and databases for the library.  Please let me know if there is something specific you would like the library to have or if there are topic areas in your research or teaching for which you would especially like me to acquire materials.

instruction

For instructors, I am available to come to your class to lead a one-hour workshop on basic library instruction (finding books & articles, recognizing scholarly journal articles), on the scholarly publication cycles, or open access, or work with you to design a workshop that meets your needs.  I am also happy to meet with groups of students for ad hoc library instruction outside the classroom.
