Outreach and Engagement Opportunities – 2015 New Faculty

The Office of Outreach and Engagement is again offering welcoming events to the 2015 New Faculty, and we would like to open up registration to you as well. We hope that you will extend an Ohio State welcome and share your experience with our new faculty.

Listed below are some free and fun opportunities for you to interact with each other and with New Faculty. Please register for those events you would like to attend.

ENGAGEMENT OPPORTUNITIES, AUTUMN SEMESTER, 2015

Wednesday, August 26
Ohio State Columbus Campus Walking Tour
4pm-5:30pm Meet at the Ohio Union
Do you know which campus building houses the bell tower? Walk the campus with Stephen Myers and one of our amazing student ambassadors and learn some fun facts along the way.

Saturday, August 29
Community Commitment Day
8:30am-1:30pm. Meet at Ohio Union Potter Plaza
Sponsored by the Office of Student Life.
After meeting in the Ohio Union, participants travel to one of many agencies across Columbus where they serve alongside one another. Past projects have included working at COSI, local food pantries, the Columbus Zoo, and at a variety of other nonprofit agencies!
We will register faculty as a group under Outreach and Engagement.

City Road Trip
Ohio State University Farm Science Review, London, OH
10am-3pm
Description: With over 600 commercial exhibitors, learn the latest in agricultural production, technology and education, at the Farm Science Review, which attracts visitors from all over the U.S. and Canada. Join Columbus Metropolitan Club members for this event.
Transportation provided from Lennox Center parking lot near Cup O’ Joes.

City Road Trip

Several hiking trails ranked from easy to difficult.
