The Science Career Fair will be held both in-person on Monday, October 4th and virtually on Handshake Tuesday, October 5th. Both events are focused on helping you find an internship, a first job, or your next job! Virtual Science Career Fair


Attending employers recruit across a broad range of disciplines, but the focus will be on careers in the sciences. There will be a large number of private, non-profit, governmental sector companies recruiting for interns, R&D developers, chemists, microbiologists, lab technicians & scientists, pharmaceutical researchers & sales, medical consulting & sales, medical researchers, medical scribes, data scientists, software analysts, and many other related technical careers.

In addition, there will likely be opportunities for technology, marketing, communications, business, data analytics, and engineering students.

Advanced research via Handshake is recommended to determine if a particular employer of interest will be in attendance and a good fit for your career advancement. You can also make an appointment via Handshake with a Career Coach to get assistance on your resume, interviewing skills, and/or job searches.

Attending employers seek to fill full-time, entry level positions, as well as summer internships. Bring the following when you attend:

  • Current Students: A valid BuckID is required to enter the fair on the day of the event.
  • Recent Graduates: We welcome you to the event and request that you drop off a copy of your resume at the registration desk upon arrival.

Undergraduate and Graduate students are welcome to join the event from both the College of Arts and Sciences and College of Engineering. The focus will be on career paths for graduate students, but undergraduates are encouraged to join and explore, as well.

ASC Diversity Mini Case Study Competition

The Career Success Diversity Mini Case Study Competition is an event that brings together teams of top-level, diverse talent from the College of Arts and Sciences to utilize their skills to conduct strategic analysis and offer solutions to a diversity-focused organizational problem.

Participants will be provided one week to review the case, develop innovative solutions to the problem, and create a PowerPoint presentation. The teams will present their solutions via PowerPoint on the day of the competition (February 27th). Presentations are analyzed and evaluated by a panel of judges on the overall quality, effectiveness, and feasibility of the case presentation.

The deadline to register is February 14.

OSU Spring Career Fair

The Spring Career Fair is focused on helping you find an internship, a first job, or your next job. The event is open to ALL current Ohio State students and recent alumni. It will be held virtually Wednesday, January 27th on Handshake’s Career Fair platform from 12:00 pm – 5:00 pm. Mark your calendar now!

Attending employers recruit across a broad range of disciplines. Attending employers include private sector companies, federal and state government agencies, and nonprofit. They are recruiting across a broad range of disciplines and seek to fill full-time, entry level positions, as well as summer internships.

Advanced research on Handshake is recommended. Students are able to register for both group sessions and 1:1 sessions with employers before the event so you are encouraged to check Handshake frequently for added employers.

Students MUST register before the event via Handshake. Students also need to have their profile set to “Community” to be able to access both the group employer sessions and the 1:1 sessions with employers.

2020 OSU Graduate and Professional School Expo

Is Graduate School in your future? Whether you are on the fence or have your mind made up about Grad School, getting a head start on the process gives you an edge over other students applying. Ohio State offers the best resource to give you that edge: the Graduate and Professional School Expo, held on September 23rd, 2020 from 12:00 to 5:00 virtually through Handshake.

The Expo hosts Graduate Schools from across the country and allows you to explore your options, gather information, and make connections with admission officers. The Expo also gives you access to Grad School experts, who can provide invaluable tips and advice about the Graduate School admission process. Professional dress is not required.

Current students and recent Ohio State alumni are welcome to attend and should register on Handshake.

Fall Career and Internship Fair

Registration is now open for the Fall Career and Internship Fair. This campus-wide fall career fair is open to Ohio State students across all majors, graduate programs and degree levels. We welcome employers from any industry to recruit undergraduate, graduate, and professional students in every academic program.

A Handshake account is required to participate in this year’s virtual fair experience.


Each academic year, a number of Career Fairs are hosted at Ohio State. For your convenience, the Office of Student Life has compiled a comprehensive list of fairs hosted on Ohio State campuses.

Quantitative & Data Career Expo

Thursday, September 10th 2020, 3:00 pm – 7:00 pm EDT

The Quantitative & Data Career Expo is open to all current Ohio State students and recent graduates and provides an opportunity for students to network with employers and learn about internship and career opportunities.

Attending industry partners will be primarily interested in students with data, technology, and analytical skill sets and are interested in chatting with students from the following majors, in particular: Computer & Information Science, Data Analytics, Economics, Mathematics, GIS, Physics, and Statistics. All students, however, are welcome as we know that many majors provide curriculum that enhances students knowledge in these areas.

Advanced research via Handshake is recommended to determine if a particular employer of interest will be in attendance and a good fit for your career advancement. You can also make an appointment via Handshake with a Career Coach to get assistance on your resume, interviewing skills, and/or job searches.

Career Success: Virtual Week

The Ohio State University College of Arts and Sciences Center for Career and Professional Success is excited to announce Virtual Week, April 13 to 17, an entire week of exciting opportunities to:
