My name is Paige Bormann, and I am hard working, thoughtful, and extremely proud to be a second-year student at The Ohio State University! I am a Computer Science and Engineering major with a passion for using my technology knowledge to improve the lives of others.
During my first year, I had the unforgettable experience of speaking at the Columbus Women in Tech 2018 conference, learned team working skills in my first year engineering courses, and greatly improved my coding skills in Java and HTML. Over the summer, I started my job at Ohio State’s Office of the Chief Information Officer as a student network engineer. I taught myself Python, which I use to write scripts for Cisco and Juniper networking equipment. My scripts have been used to check for discrepancies and errors in device configuration and database information.
I am optimistic about the upcoming year since the majority of my classes are major related and I will be creating an iOS app for my scholars program as part of my capstone project. I learned a great deal during my first year at Ohio State, and I am excited to see what else is in store for my throughout my second year!
