Jasmine Smith, Academic Peer Coach

Jasmine Smith is majoring in Social Work, and would like to use her future degree to help in the foster care system. She was born and raised in Columbus, Ohio. Jasmine attended Horizon Science Academy Columbus High School, and graduated class of 2020. In her free time, she enjoys doing makeup, cooking, and baking. Jasmine was in the 9th cohort of the Buckeye Generation Learning Community, and decided to come back and work as an academic peer coach. This is her 2nd year as a peer coach. Aside from being a peer coach, Jasmine is also an Office Assistant in McConnell Hall, where she assists all students living on campus. She also won Homecoming Royalty for the 2021 school year. Jasmine is very passionate about advocating for regional campus students, and uses this passion to make the college experience better for everyone. Her dream has always been to help people, and she uses this passion to fuel her work with social justice. After graduation, she hopes to pursue her Master’s Degree in Social Work, with a concentration in foster care and child welfare advocacy.

 

Molly Rudduck, Academic Peer Coach

Molly is majoring in psychology and aspires to further her education to help with mental health. Molly graduated from Watkins Memorial High School in 2021 and is currently in her second year of college. In her free time, Molly enjoys being outside, reading, and listening to podcasts. She was in the Buckeye Generation Learning Community her first year of college; she attributes her success thus far from the help of peers and mentors in the Learning Community. After graduating, Molly hope to further her education and receive a master’s degree in Psychology.
