A Pasture and Forage Quality Workshop has scheduled for two Ohio locations including March 2nd in Peebles and in Laurelville on the March 3rd. These workshops are made possible through a grant from the National Grazing Lands Coalition.
The focus of the workshop is on forage quality, pasture management and nutrient management. In the fall of 2015 manure, hay, and pasture analysis was completed on approximately 30 farms in 13 Southern Ohio Counties. These workshops will focus on what was learned about forage quality and pasture management from these results. In addition, grazing management strategies and improving soil health will be featured topics.
