I finally caved in to popular demand that I try Hello Fresh, and I am sorry to say that it isn’t my favorite. The recipes were good, but not so creative that I wouldn’t have figured them out or tried them on my own. I do have to say that the packaging was nice – meals were sorted into cute little boxes and some items (onions, potatoes, etc.) were not in plastic bags thereby reducing waste. The price was also more than other meal services, and I didn’t care for their website. The best meal was the pan-seared chicken, it had a really flavorful drizzle, but there wasn’t enough of it. The pan-seared porkchop was tough and I couldn’t bring myself to pan-sear the steak (I put it on the grill). Everything was seasoned with salt and pepper, so it left the food a little ordinary, but good.
