Hi Everyone!

Mowing in the cool and rain free day

I am already past my halfway point on this amazing internship with Arsenal. The weather is the same as last week with rain in the forecast about every day and temperatures ranging from 56 to 71 degrees Fahrenheit. Fortunately there has been periods of rain on some of the days recently to mow with no interruptions. There is still renovations happening at the grounds, but it will soon be winding down before the first team arrives soon. The other teams and the Arsenal Ladies are practicing on a daily basis at the training center to prepare for their upcoming games in the weeks ahead.

Inside the Kings College Chapel

This past weekend I traveled an hour north via train to the town of Cambridge. Similar to Columbus Ohio with the Ohio State University, Cambridge is home to the notable University of Cambridge. Founded in 1209, the university itself is very well known and has many notable alumni to Steven Hawking to Dame Jane Goodall. I visited during my day trip the grounds of Kings College, which is known as the main college branch of the University of Cambridge. It is cool on how the old buildings that have been around for hundreds of years are still standing and are being used today.

Herd of cattle relaxing in Cambridge

I was also surprised when walking by the canals, a herd of cattle were relaxing on the side of the canal with no fence guarding the cattle. There was also more people in Cambridge than normal due to one of the branch colleges was having graduation on the same day as my visit. Made me think about myself graduating with less than 10 months away from Ohio State….

I had a great time visiting Cambridge and hope to visit more towns and other places during my time in the United Kingdom. Hope to have more sunshine in the forecast in the following days to come and learn something new during my internship with Arsenal.

Until next time, Cheers!
