About

Hi I am Adrienne. I am an undergraduate student majoring in Political Science, planning to double major in Economics. I’m interested in international security, international relations, and both realist and constructionist thought.  Previously, I did research with  Dr. Bowen on domestic violence in Guatemala and Nicaragua.

Also, I was the President of OutLOUD  The Ohio State University at Mansfield’s Gay-Straight Alliance, a safe place for those in the LGBTQIA community. My goals were to expand the knowledge base for LGBTQIA resources and expand membership participation of our organization within our campus with more diverse activities that students, staff, and faculty can participate in while trying to access and assure a more functional budget for a growing campus.

Now at The Ohio State University Columbus Campus, I participate as an editor for the Journal of Political Science and International Affairs as well as the Director of Diversity and Inclusion for the Undergraduate Student Government.

In USG, I previously was delegated responsibilities for USG’s volunteer corps for the Mirror Lake Jump in 2014. I oversaw teams that went on patrol around campus to make sure students were safe during the night.

Additionally, I am coPresident of PrideOSU, one of the 17 LGBT clubs on campus.

Finally, I am currently conducting exploratory research on the physical movement of people and its relationship to violence. In particular, looking at non combatant refugees in the Middle East and the level of burden, including resulting violence that stems from the movement of refugees or lack thereof.  I am also planning to do analysis of Coethnicity and it’s relationship to theories of constructionist in IR.
