Calling all aspiring farmers!
The Ohio Ecological Food and Farm Association (OEFFA) is coordinating a Begin Farming Apprenticeship Program that has openings for  apprentices to work on certified organic vegetable farms in Ohio for the 2018 growing season. The Begin Farming Apprenticeship Program is an educational program for aspiring farmers to gain hands-on experience and skills necessary to begin a career in organic agriculture. Ideal candidates will have a strong commitment and desire to beginning a start-up farming operation of their own.

Apprentices will gain on-farm experience in the daily production practices of a mixed vegetable operation. In addition to this paid position, apprentices will attend off-farm educational workshops, participate in skill-sharing on host farms, tour exemplary farms, and connect with other apprentices and early career farmers through networking opportunities.

Applications are now open for the 2018 growing season!
