Lindsay Hill Memorial 3v3 Basketball Tournament
Attention basketball stars! The Lindsay Hill 3-on-3 Memorial Basketball Tournament is right around the corner. On February 27th, Agricultural Communicators at Ohio State will be hosting the double-elimination competition in the RPAC Upper Gym. The tournament will start at 8:30 a.m. and the entry fee is only $30 per team, with the money going entirely toward the Lindsay Hill Endowment Fund. Guests of Ohio State Rec Sports will pay an extra $5 fee per player (does not apply to full time students). All skill levels are welcome and festive team dress is encouraged. AgChat Foundation presents 2016 National Collegiate Congress
Making Change Happen Developing ideas and making them happen is core to creating change. Registration is open for the 2016 Collegiate Congress on April 2 in Indianapolis [agenda].

With support from Dow AgroSciences, college students interested in agriculture and food will meet up to share points of interest and and learn about different backgrounds and views. These students will walk away inspired with usable tools to help extend their food / ag conversations with more people [register].

Sessions will focus on strategic communication techniques, time prioritization and agricultural advocacy while expanding networks to incorporate consumer-facing messaging. Additionally, participants will learn about organizing on-campus events, digital content calendars and interacting with consumers.

Early-bird registration, which includes a discounted rate, is open until March 1, 2016.
OSU Leadership Luncheon Series
The Office of Student Life’s Buckeye Leadership Fellows Program in partnership with Leadership Columbus invites OSU Students to its “Leadership Luncheon Series.”Enjoy a complimentary lunch and get to know some outstanding community leaders through our leadership luncheon series. Space is limited so please sign up early. We limit the audience to encourage meaningful conversation between the students and the speaker. Boots to Business
Sigma Alpha is presenting their first annual Boots to Business on Monday, February 22. Registration and mocktails will begin at 6:30pm and the event programming will begin at 7:00pm in the Agricultural Administration Auditorium. The event provides an opportunity for students seeking professional development or who are preparing for the CFAES Career Expo. Students are encouraged to wear business casual attire.
·         Register by February 14 to receive a resume review by an industry professional prior to the event. Students can interact in a round table setting with the industry professional who reviewed their resume during the Resume Review session.
·         Registration without a resume review is open until February 19.
·         Students can pick two of three breakout sessions titled: Your Online Profile, Career Expo Pick-Up Lines and Conquering the Interview

Roaring Recognition- 63rd Annual Recognition Banquet
CFAES is roaring towards the 20s! On April 7 at 5:30pm, the 63rd Annual CFAES Recognition Banquet will be held at the Ohio Union in the Archie Griffin Ballroom. Beginning on February 24, tickets will be on sale for $10 and can be purchased in Agricultural Administration room 100, Kottman Hall room 210, or from a banquet committee member (who will be wearing the “nifty” t-shirts!). Upon purchasing your ticket, please indicate if you prefer the vegetarian option. Be sure to purchase your tickets for $10 before March 24. Beginning March 25, ticket prices will increase to $15. Tickets will also be available at the door. It’s going to be the bee’s knees, and we hope to see you there!

2016 Homecoming Court Applications Available
2016 Homecoming Court applications are now open!  Applications can be found and completed at at this link, under “apply”.  Undergraduates who have completed at least 60 hours by the beginning of Fall 2016 and maintained a 2.5 cumulative GPA are eligible to apply.  Applications are due on Friday, March 4, 2016.  All information can be found at at this linkand questions can be directly to Lauren Luffy at luffy.2@osu.edu.

Agricultural Communication Critique & Contest
Agricultural Communicators of Tomorrow members are invited to submit work to the NACT Critique and Contest. Divisions include writing, publication, electronic media, photography, design and layout, and public relations, with multiple categories in each division. Complete rules listed here and entry form here.

Towers Agricultural Honorary is reopening its application. We understand that there were several other applications due around the January 29 deadline, so Towers will be extending the due date to February 19, at 11:59pm, for those students who still wish to apply. Daughters of American Agriculture Scholarship
Daughters of American Agriculture was created to honor the memory of those courageous and adventuresome pioneer women who played such an important role in the founding of this nation and encourage the present generation to continue their education in agricultural pursuits.

The DAA Foundation provides $1,000 scholarships to farm, ranch and agribusiness women or their daughters in two categories: the Jean Ibendahl scholarship to high school graduates age 18-23 and the Sister Thomas More Bertels scholarship to women age 24 and over. Scholarship funds may be used for accredited courses in agricultural leadership, communications, rural sociology, medicine, or other courses directly related to agriculture. More information here.
