Legacy Auction

It’s become an enjoyable and entertaining tradition to feature both a Live and Silent auction of donated items during the annual Legacy Dinner. 100% of the proceeds from the sale of these items benefit the Fairfield County 4-H Endowment. This year may be one of the largest auctions ever with many great donations already offered. Below are the auction items in what has been a rapidly growing list of items being donated to the 2019 auction. Check back often as auction items are being added to the listing frequently.

  • The Columbus Crew SC has donated two tickets to their game on Saturday, June 29, 2019!
  • Once again this year, one winning bidder will receive four (4) 2019 Wrangler National Finals Rodeo Tickets, being held on Monday, December 9 in the Thomas and Mack Arena on the campus of UNLV in Las Vegas. These tickets are the generous donation of the Michael Family.
  • Sally J. Grimm has donated a 10th anniversary 4-H Legacy Quilt to benefit the auction.
  • Again this year Auman Landscape has donated a 6-7 foot maple tree.
  • You’ll have the opportunity  to bid on a hand-hooked ottoman thanks to Carol Black.
  • The 4 Creation 4-H Club has donated a “Summer Yard Games” basket to benefit this year’s Legacy Auction.
  • You will find two lamb wool pelts in this year’s auction – one is black and white lamb and the other is white and tan, both donated to the auction compliments of Tim and Laura Gold.
  • Thanks to McGuire’s Distinctive Truck you have the opportunity to bid on a Husqvarna string trimmer, and also a Husqvarna leaf blower.
  • Connie Smith has donated two Michael Kors items. One is a hand bag, and the other is a green patent tote.
  • Be the high bidder and you can have a family photo session compliments of Brit Nicole Photography.
  • Courtney’s Cut Outs has donated one dozen decorated sugar cookies to benefit this year’s auction.
  • The Pride Riders 4-H Club has donated a “horse themed starter kit for newbies” that includes bucket, blankets, treats, lead rope, face brush and a 2 in 1 halter grooming kit.
  • Back, yet again, by popular demand . . . Lancaster’s oldest independent grocery – Bay Food Market along with Bay Packing have donated half a processed hog, times 2 of them! The winning bidders will fill their freezer with locally grown bacon, ham, pork chops, sausage and more.
  • Ice hockey fans can bid on an autographed photo of #8, Zach Werenski, compliments of the Columbus Blue Jackets.
  • Once again, Debbie Miller has called on the passion for baking she acquired during her days in 4-H and is bringing a batch of her famous homemade Cinnamon Rolls. Plus, while she’s in the kitchen, she’s also baking a Strawberry-rhubarb pie that originates directly from her garden.
  • Pride Riders 4-H Club has donated an Equine “Starter Kit” Basket to this year’s auction.
  • If you’re an angler, Jon Stepp has donated a Fishing Basket.
  • The Carroll Country 4-H is bringing a Camping Basket to the auction. Check it out here.
  • The Shooting Sports 4-H Club has donated a Shooting Basket that includes a Range Pass.
  • Your dogs will enjoy the Canine Basket that has been donated by the Unleashed 4-H Club.
  • Jenn Newell has again donated one of her etched glassware creations.
  • Thanks to Kris Doyle, you have the opportunity to bid on a Wooly Fun Basket.
  • If you’re the winning bidder, you can sit back in front of the TV and enjoy the Healthy Snack Basket donated by the Bloomin’ Clovers 4-H Club.
  • 4-H Endowment Board President Ron Ruff is donating a piece of Functional Stoneware hand crafted from horse hair by local potter artist Jim Fetzer.
  • Thanks to Taylor Kinnison, you will be bidding on an Ireland’s Salon and Spa Basket and Gift Card.
  • The Carol Black Family will be baking the 4-H Legacy Dinner 10th Anniversary Cake you will have the opportunity to purchase and take home!

The auctions as well as dinner will be held in the Ed Sands / Farm Bureau Building on the Fairfield County Fairgrounds. In addition to what you find listed above, examples of suggested items that are appreciated for these auctions include themed gift baskets, event tickets, autographed memorabilia, gift certificates, jewelry, photography, art work, baked goods and sweet treats, or any items that represent 4-H and youth.
